fish/oldschool singlefin "down" nose

Hey,

How would I shape the classic fish “down” nose? You know the one I mean…

Anyway, I’m doing a 6’0" singlefin and I’d like to figure out how to do the “down” nose (with the clearly piched line) that flows into down rails about 18 inches later. I’ve noticed that the line of the nose seems to be parallel to the ground (if the board is on the ground)…

Does anybody have amethod that works well?

Sounds like you are trying to shape a board with a 70s style “beak” nose. To achive this, you’ll need to keep the foil thick in the nose. When the nose is thick, and you start doing the rails, you’ll end up with a beak when you do your top rail cut. Hope this helps.
