I have been asked to make a fish for a friend of mine,he is about 5’8" 150 lbs and a good surfer(competant at cross stepping long boards) and a Deamon on a INDO board. My problem is that I dont have any templates for a fish and there are none in the area for me to measure. He wants around a 6’ board with a round nose and swallow tail twinfin and i need to know where the widest point would be(forward or rear of center). nose measurement widest measurement tail measurement and size of tail pod, Rails, should they be hard at rear then soft, or hard right through,60/40 etc any help for template measuring would be of great help. something like… nose: 16-17, mid: 21, tail: 16-17, 7 inch deep swallow, then play connect the dots. hard rails in tail, tucked edge throughout, widepoint up a bit, flat bottom, have fun.
I just went through all this with Herb and the Magic Man about two weeks ago. They gave me all kinds of killer info. It is all in the archive. THOSE GUYS RULE.
