Fixing an epoxy board?

I have an epoxy board that is going to require a little cloth to fix properly. The problem is I’m a broke joke right now and the the cheapest epoxy resin and hardner I’ve seen is $25. I’d rather put that money in my gas tank. I saw the epoxy resin at the hardware store that comes out of a syringe ($4) and comes in slow set, like 90 minutes. Would that properly penetrate the cloth and do the job?

Thanks

Prolly better to go to a surfshop or windsurf shop and buy some dingleberry or suncure epoxy and apply a blob that covers the wound, then another bigger blob that overlaps more.

Sand the area first. Suncure is $4.95 retail, in a small tube, sometimes green.

Nothing really penetrates cloth that is already saturated and set up with resin, but if it’s a flapping mess, then it can bond the area back on.

Some peeps hit the auto supply stores and buy some epoxy based bondo.

Yes it will. Get the 30 minute, not the 5 minute or the 90 minute. That will be plenty of time. I’ve used it for repairs before and always use it (the 5 min) for nose & tail blocks, etc, pre-attaching glass on fins, etc.
