There are a whole bunch of different types of tubes for standard 8 foot fixtures- cool white, warm, and a variety of color temperatures. Which work best with shaping and specific wall colors? I didn’t find anything in the archives about it although its in there somewhere.
I run 5000’s. Check the CRI (color rendering index). The closer to 100 (0-100) the truer the color will appear.

white lights with blue walls...really good contrast between the foam and the background
How many shapers does it take to change a fluorescent bulb?
Anyone have a take on color temperature of the bulbs? Ive found them ranging from 3500 to 4150k. Where does this come into play?
Higher "k" = "cooler" color temp. I like 6500k bulbs that give a very white light.
tri-phosphor daylight tubes. Everything else looks yellow by comparison
Good info. thanks
