foam in the ne (long island)

Been around the long island in search of foam, many of the places i thought would be glad to assist a fellow surfer in acquiring a longboard foam blank were not as inviting as I assumed. From a plain old “NO” to the “NO, I dont think we could sell one from our stock or order one for you when we order ours…” The doors have been shut, hey u jerks, thanks if your reading! Can anyone make a suggestion to me??? I am considering a trip to Rhode Island for a day to pick up a blank but the travel and tolls or ferry may equal the shipping from Cali, any suggestions will be welcomed!

Kev, Been there too. If you are interested in ordering a few blanks get back to me via this BB. I’m in the area and would split an order with you (See some of the previous archived threads on the matter too) - since Longboard blanks usually come 2 to a box we each pay for the cost of the blanks we get and could split the outrageous shipping costs on a box so we’d each get a blank for a little less than the usual. If there are any sizes your interested in that come 4 to a box - think about it - I’d like to get my hands on a few shorter blanks as well. Anyone else - (Tim C.?), others from the area want in? If someone is centrally located maybe we can set up a place for delivery and distribution for the order. I’d be coming in from Great Neck on the north shore of LI - though I actually live even further away from the waves (Westchester - I grew up on LI and still get to surf Long Beach or Rbt Moses at times). I’d be happy to use my house as the delivery spot, but I doubt that Westchester would be the best location if others are around on LI. lemeknow. Kev, Have you tried Religion Surf Shop on William Floyd Parkway, Shirley? They make boards under their own label. Maybe they would help you out.
