Follow up on my epoxy board

It’d been 2 months since I first tried to ride my new board. At the last post, it was on how badly it rode, Greg Loehr stopped by the factory and I showed him the fin set up and what it was doing when I tied to turn or just plain ride it. Greg’s suggestion was that the side fins were too large (FCS G-300). I dug through my fins sheets and cut out a couple of C-5/supercharger fins about 2 1/2" high, well, the first wave was at least 80% of what I felt I should be able to do. The gagging in the trough didn’t happen and I was able to turn and bash off the lip again. The topper was at the end of a particularly long walled race track wave that presented one of those perfect shoulders for a classic Slater figure 8 cut back. It feels really bitchin’ to put 9 feet of rail buried into a wrap around, chunk thowin’, off the tube and make it.

… I thought you only rode singles Jim ? My short sightedness for thinking that.Got a few glue-ons and tabbed jobs,be more than happy to send/deliver you some.2.5" IS A BIT MUCH,you’ll see, said the blindman.Herb

Sounds great Jim. I had forgotten when we talked that polystyrene foam has a different boyancy and tends to change your fin set up. That would explain things a bit more.
