If you are riding a quad fin modern shortboard, is the foot placement different than if riding a thruster, due to their being more tail behind the fins on a quad vs. the thruster? Thus making rear foot placement farther up the board on the quad?
From my experience with quads, i can say that if the front fins are in the same placement of a thruster rail fins, the foot placement would be the same.
That’s if we’re talking about the same shape, of course…
Do you have a new quad? show it please!!!

Here are some pics, low quality because i don’t have a camera here.
Funny all this quad fever. I just ordered one yesterday after wanting another one for the last 20 years. Can’t wait. All my friends are scoffing. Ha! Wait til they try it. They’ll all be ordering one.
My old one was insane. 5’10" wing swallow. Fast, loose. It was so good for going straight up backside. I used it at 5’ Backdoor, 3rd Dip, you name it. It finally broke in half at Vland after nearly 2 years.
Thanks for the photos Brett, the board seems so nice, the outline and rocker reminds me the Mongrel, a board that i enjoyed a lot.
This week i’ll shape a board that is going to be a quad also, yours looks awesome.
I think you don’t have to place your feet in a different place than on a thruster, but as you know each board is different…
Thanks again for the photos.
