It’s been a while, but you asked to see some “test riding” on this board I made. Here is some footage a friend got of me. Unfortunately it’s in probably the smallest surf you can imagine, but hey…whatever!
Edit: Hmmm…Guess you can’t embed video inline here…Takes about 10 seconds to kick in, but I’m no video editor either…Oh well, here’s the link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=OD3Wg7l2JQE
LOL…thanks. Yeah, it was just making the best of a small summer Sunday…With a friend on the beach. We had 8 days there in a row, three seperate times this past summer. Super fun. At the least, I guess I can say the board catches small waves easily
It was my first longboard, and I don’t have much in the way of specs without going out and “re-measuring” it…I know this:
9’7", 2 3/4" thick, 23" wide at center (middle of board), huge tail…LOL. Oh, and the foil is VERY thin. I didn’t think I’d like it at ALL, but now it’s my all-time favorite longboard. It ULTRA thin in the tail and nose, and looks pregnant in the middle. Here’s some pics. They were posted a long while back, in different stages of the building process, but you’d have to dig to find them…
These were from a local contest I did a few weeks ago…a couple of the smaller waves. Honestly, it was rather large on the sets, and I wouldn’t have been out on a 9’8" log with no leash (or leash plug for that matter) if it hadn’t been for the contest… I would’ve WAY rather had a fish or stubby if I was freesurfing.
Dang…These pics make it look really small and me like a wuss for saying that, but hey, I stick to my story. The sets were coming in towards the end of the pier dammit!
Hmmmmm…Not sure why “youtube.com” is redirecting to a different site…Try typing in: www.youtube.com into your browser, it should take you to the main site, not “Go.com”…Strange.
Digital just means you can get it directly from your video camera onto hard disk, cd, dvd, etc.
From there it’s usually pretty straightforward.
Oh yeah. If you have regular digital camera that does video clips it does them directly into digital format, which you should be able to load onto your PC.
[mine , unfortunately , is from the ‘dark ages’ , of 'analogue …any ‘conversion’ tips ?]
Hey Ben, All you need to do is plug your video camera into a digital one and you can re-record in digital format, then you can edit, add soundtracks etc on your pc. Cheers mate.
