Aloha Ambrose My name is Kit, and I live in San Francisco by way of Hawaii. My girlfriend was on Kauai this winter, staying with friends in Anahola, and she picked up a board there and brought it home – an Ambrose mini-mal with a diamond tail. She is stoked on the board, and I realized not too long ago that you made the board. Thanks for making it, she loves it, I was hoping to drop you an e-mail so we could trade some stories. I love your poetic posts, by the way. This morning, Ocean Beach is sunny and about head high, with a light NW breeze – spring has sprung! Drop me a line when you get the chance Happy surfing, enjoy the island life, Kit
There are more shapers by the name ambrose…there is Shawn Ambrose of Ambrose Surfboards who shapes Trixie boards too. Ambrose? Isn’t your name Rick? Do you sell boards too? Couldn’t find Rick Ambrose boards anywhere on the web? cheers Marcus
First name Ambrose. Makes good surf boards, has a better out look on life, and surfing then most. I have never seen a guy other then Ambrose write a letter on his board talking about what a great wave it was that caused him to ding his board, along with who he was surfing with at the time. He does not make 6 figuers making surfboards, but he has a life that most of us would die for. I stop by and see him every time I’m on the island. He always remember me and has a board for me to rent if I did not bring my own. That is who our Ambrose is.
