Thanks Bill, by exposing their methods every coastline worldwide will now be dominated by these high-tech recycled boards. You just couldn’t keep it confined to Hawaii.
And people thought Asian production was scary…! Maybe the US Surfboard Industry could get together and ban these from being built in USA and used in OUR surf… [:)]
I love seeing the envelop stretched. It wouldn’t take much to create a flatter bottom on that thing and it wouldn’t be half bad!
If the guy got on Swaylocks and began promoting his secret new composite technology he might be able to muster together enough devotees that he could eventually get an investor and launch a whole new surfboard company. Hmmmm I wonder if Coca Cola would be interested?? Seems like it would be a perfect match.
I bet we see some international, novelty exposure, for this product. It is just too cool to avoid and its recycling angle is such a big warm fuzzy these days it can’t miss with a gullible media.
Too cool to avoid? There is a new highly advanced surfing machine at Costco now too. It must be made in Finland… check out the spelling:
Maverix Red And White
12’ Paddle Board
10" Carbon Finn
Board Bag And Paddles
“Also, beginners to surfing have found paddle boards a great way to be introduced to the sport of surfing as the paddle provides an additional means of support and balance.”
OK Keith, I couldn’t resist checking that one out. Unbelievable! And the words they use to describe it:
“Stand-up paddle surfing, like surfing generally, originated in the Hawaiian Islands. The sport has grown phenomenally in the past few years as modern, light-weight materials have made it easier to transport and surf these large boards. The paddle boards can be used not only in traditional surfing settings, but also on still water like lakes or bays as a means of aerobic exercise. Many top surfers now use paddle boards to train when the surf is down. Also, beginners to surfing have found paddle boards a great way to be introduced to the sport of surfing as the paddle provides an additional means of support and balance”.
It looks so easy and we can learn to surf on it too. Give me a break!
