1 more time - those fins are amazing !
Like the foils Huie... you're having fun Yorky...
Hey Huie, those fins look like you mad them on a CNC! And why isn’t there a future or fcs base, don’t you use them. Don’t you feel bad making glass ons; the fin companies aren’t going to get their cut, and then they won’t have money to pay the pro’s they sponsor. You should feel bad making fins that pretty. What catalogue are they marketed in what is the cool guy name of that template, and can I get them recycled, because that green thing is so so cool.
Ha ha Classic!
digger, either way mate. I’ll call you later this arvo.
…early start today as I have some running around.
cheers champ
knowaloha. **** there silky oak but its bit hard keeping the carbon dust out of the open grain while foiling’’
My apologizes for the move, I just want to be relevant for longer…
nar, I reckon its all with in the industry, that"s all.
;-)
I have been keen on deck channels for some time now (it might be tricky with the zylon?).
Word is, my new blank will have a 1/16" or 1 mm stringer in it.
The Zylon might be a bit stiff so …maybe I’ll make the deck channels shorter (stopping mid front fins).
this should give good flex out the back…I like the idea of the forward stiffness that the channels will add.
Sways project…any ideas Lads? yeah, No…come on
peace!
Midget! I know your there, where to now…;-(
i looked up Zylon , is the stuff you use Orange ? That would make a nice looking 3/4 deck patch
rail channels are always nice .
Yorky I tried to send you a message however it’s blocked.
PM me your email

Yeah your right mate Zylon is orange/brown/gold in color, 3/4 patch sound cool.
I have ruled out the deck channels, maybe on another one.
See you guys next monday.
Off to the Glod Coast for a few days.
…Surfding, My PM is now working. Cheers.
Ta Huie, ha ha… oh!, and I’ll get the fins any time now.
just opened the box of blanks at yorkies factory, bloody hell huei they are so strong and light, super super impressed, cant wait to start, so excited. I think yorky is going to weigh them as well to see the differences with the ones he uses. The pink blank is just magic. I ordered myself 2 reds and a yellow and yorky got the pink. Thanks so much Huei for suggesting these blanks.
spot on di99er,
And thanks for the fins, they to look great.
No time to chat…Got to get the family ready to start the day. Big day at work too.
Cheers
<p>I got a bit side tracked with this thread. </p><p>I arrived home from a surf trip to my home town yesterday morning, and scored some beautiful crystal clear overhead barelling waves with NO one in sight for 4 hours.</p><p>…With no “pink” Blank, in my hands I quickly knocked out a new stick with some fresh ideas from my trip.</p><p>Board details</p><p>Very, very old standard weight “blue” Blank. one year old at least.</p><p>5’9" 18 1/4" 2 1/8"</p><p>squash</p><p>narrow nose</p><p>wide ears</p><p>wide belly</p><p>long hip</p><p>fins 3 1/2 x 11 1/4" (cheers Surfding)</p><p>low nose entry</p><p>lots of belly rocker</p><p>tail kick in front of side fins</p><p>deep concave</p><p>4 x 4 plus tail patch</p><p>sand finish.</p><p>sun cure</p><p>spray</p><p>fcs</p><p>weight 2.15 kg (plugs only) 4.739 pound.</p><p>…I think its only fair to do the same with the pink…</p><p>To keep it interesting. but we’ll see</p><p>Here’s a few pics from yesterday.</p>
