Future Fins

Is there any way to install futures without a routher. The archives don’t explain the installation process that well. Thanks

I guess you could use a drill bit or just a knife or something and dig out a hole for the plugs then set them with a ton of carbosil/glassfibers/resin mix.

Or you can buy a router. You can get them as cheap as $20 at harbor freight. You don’t need the jigs although I’m sure they are nice. Just draw the outline of the box on the blank, then set the depth on the router and go.

Håvard

Spaz Im sure that wherever you are, you are close to someone who has the jig and router, The best bet is to get it done right.

Even a little trim router will do it. Easy and inexpensive.

I used my handy- dandy dremel with a quick jig I made using some thin scrap wood. Don’t waste your money on a router, just buy a dremel or a cheap knock-off. You could even by the saw bit and put it on a drill.

Wen do you intall them? After lamination and hotcoat anfter lamination or on the foam. Thanks

…after lamination and hotcoat, after lamination on into the foam.

Thanks

the proper way is into the foam BEFORE you laminate them. rinse them in acetone first.
