Future Floor Polish.

I have researched on sways the last couple days and come up with the basic steps. Would you guys let me know if this sounds resonable?

1)Hotcoat is sanded to 220ish.(lots of that paper lying around)

2)Future Floor Polish (this stuff - http://www.floorcareproducts.com/floor-finish/index.asp) is applied with sponge in 3-4 layers and 3)scuff with light pad after each applications (via an old Herb Spitzer post)

3)apply some kind of polish and polish via hand or machine out to shine.

I don’t have access to spray equipment, some im looking to apply the floor polish by hand.

Thanks for the Help. Dave

Shame about not having spray equipment as it will apply better. Works better with polyester as well but still seems to stick to epoxy in my experience.

So , Deanbo, in NZ this is the stuff we’re talkin’ about ?

Future

and Klear ?

Hm, it’s surprising what a little googling can do when I try.

Howzit davel, You can apply the polish with a sponge. Make full passes from either nose or tail till you cover the whole side and let it dry before doing another coat. You can apply as many coats as you want but make sure the previous coat is totally dry. After one side is done flip and do the other side.Aloha,Kokua

HI Dave

I’ve used Future/Klear as described on epoxy and it works fine. On a warm day I only need 15 minutes between coats. I give it 24 hours before a final wetsand to about 1000 grit, then use car polish. I’ve found this reduces yellowing of epoxy somewhat. It doesn’t give a deep gloss though.

Karl

That’s the one. Same web page that I found a while back as well.

D,

Kokua is correct.

Thin coats with a sponge or rag(not sopping wet)…and let completely dry first, before applying another coat.

Scrunge pad btwn coats helps level things off.

Also,

Supercrylic at Smart n Final works great, and is a bit glossly-er.
