getting the dust off

how are you shapers cleaning your clothes after shaping? just blowing the dust off then washing? whats the trick?

I blow off at work, then get undressed in the garage. My wife likes nothing better than reaching into my foam dust filled pockets!

Jim, I hope that you’re closing the door first. I got some of the anti-static lab coats that are worn in electronic assembly shops. Dust won’t stick to these so they blow off easy, and then go in the washer. They got wrist snaps on the sleeves so dust can get up there. You can get these used from most uniform supply places cheap. I use a vacuum system also, so I don’t have much airborne foam.

Jim,

How long have you been shaping!!!

You KNOW the # 1 rule; NEVER, EVER WEAR ANYTHING WITH POCKETS WHILE WORKING!!!

cantellya, I’ve been shaping for 44 years, 40 of those professionally. How can man have pants without pockets, where would the string, knife, yo-yo, frog and chaw go.

Dust…love it,live with it, or don’t shape. What gets me is the fact that you can be covered head to toe in the shaping room and never have eye problems.Yet…a little bit always ends up in your vehicle and gets blown in your eyes. RB

woohoo !!

in Australia, where ‘blowing off’ has a different meaning, the order would go more like this : -

my wife likes nothing better than reaching into my …er…pocket [the one with the hole in it],

…“then get undressed in the garage…”

…then …er…“blow off …”

…with apologies to you, your pockets, your wife, and , especially, your poor unfortunate neighbours !! “chip”

that’s why in oz, we also have another expression : -

" geez, mate… KEEP IT IN YER PANTS !!"

     hehehehahaha "chip"
