We have two of these wagons, the maroon one has 400k but a sleeper 2.3 liter I built with a turbo running 12 lbs of boost, chipped, 91 octane only. It turns 2200 at 65, might top out at 140 plus but I would never do that…
The wifes’ black '88 will smoke the tires and its a 12 second car, runs all IPD on 17’s and the wife will not let me drive it…lol…wait till it breaks!

I come from a Volvo family, but declined out of it financially. My first ride was a sweet ‘68 wagon. Greatest surf rig… lived in that thing comfortably for a while in my surf youth - get up, kick the back door open lookin’ right out over Agate… I think there’s been 9 or 10 between my folks - two got handed down to me w/200+K and I put close to 200 more on 'em… gotta say, my little '88 Tercel has been pretty good to me.
