What do you think of these boards?
Really innovative or just a design object??

Beautiful foils, butt ugly outlines. Cool fins. Pretty inovative, but am guessing some sort of marketing thing or a guy just having some fun. I’m sure somone can make them work. Is that a canal in Venice? Are they subject to tidal flow? Mike
It’s an interesting art project.
Looks like a non surfer (from MIlan- defintely land locked) making an art project. Kelly Slater or Chris Burch cold probably rip on them. I doubt they’d be anybody’s go-to board.
Canals in Venice are defintely subject to tides, but that is too low. They have been systematically blocking off sections of canal, draining them and doing maintenance. However, I’m guessing he might be standing in one of the “navigli”, small canal/rivers in the south of MIlan… (google “Naviglio”)
I’m generally open to creative approaches to board building, but I’m not really crazy about these either as surfboards or art. To each his own , as they say. Kinda looks like a meyerhoffer to me, so maybe they really do work.
People trying to make art out of surfboards miss the point and create something that is both ugly and nonfunctional. Surfboards made by real shapers are pieces of functional art
Even the natural lines of nature look cleaner by comparison.
Hard on the eyes.
Ouch!
Ugly Art? Definitely not for high performance surfing. Just a gimmick I’m guessing.
I actually have a degree in fine arts, and I say, with the authority of all the precious time ( and money ) “invested” earning that,
“Shark sandwich!”
