I used epoxy to glass the fins onto my last board -- which happened to be my first board with glass-ons. I used Bill Thrailkills method of placing the glass on an angled bias. I didn't use any roving, and made no fillets. The fins are rock solid, and the board surfs great. I'm definitely a believer in what Bill said above. On the other hand, I agree with Resinhead about the epoxy looking like sh!t. I ended up with a lot of little bubbles in the resin. Maybe I could have done it better if I used the right technique, though.

You are correct, I w f’ing with it too early. They have stiffened up considerably.
I do agree that boxes (lokbox and probox) are stiffer at the base than my 26 oz of glass on each side of each fin. That is pretty amazing to me.
