Glassing problems in San Francisco

Just got done putting the lam down on the bottom of my first shape. Worked out pretty well, a couple of air bubbles, but nothing major. I was using UV Resin and the people I share my building with complained about the fumes. Got a call from the landlord saying no more glassing. I am looking for a location somewhere in the bay area to finish off the board. Anyone have any recommendations for places where I can finish up the lam and sanding coat? I have all materials. Just looking for some workspace with shade, sun, and no sensitive landlords

Thanks,

Buster

did you get any PM's on this Buster?

or you can use epoxy

I always thought that UV resin produced way less fumes because of the faster curing time? Is that incorrect? (I never used UV-resin)

are the tickets still available?

is it true they are only 30$?

Brother Brose, Spent some time with Riddle yesterday and he thinks I should write a book about all my experiences here, might be something to think about since my memory works great. Still haaven't bought a ticket yet so I am having a hard time making the total commitment to leaving but I am looking at around the middle of July.Every body keeps telling me I can always come back that is for sure. But I would like to see some of the US of A that is beautiful. How about a Swaylocks travel tour to see how many of our fellow members I can meet, could be a plan and I have never been East of the Grand Canyon. Aloha,Kokua

One of the problems with UV resin is that if it is never exposed to any UV light then it will never almost never kick… it will eventually, as exposure to air and ambient rays will eventually kick it… but this could be days, maybe even as long as a week. So the problem could actually be much worse if you do not have the right environment for glassing with UV.

I always just put a few drops of catalyst in the lam batch before glassing, that way, any resin that gets on the floor will eventually kick regardless of exposure to light.
