Recently we had a concerned neighbor stop by the shop complaining about the fumes. Time to do some damage control.
Gathered some useful info in the archives regarding the scrubbing of PE fumes when glassing. I am going to build a rechargeable carbon filter as well as sealing off the glassing area. My question is this...although the exhaust fan is strong enough to clean all the air in the area in a small amount of time will I be better suited mounting the filter in the glassing room, or pulling the air out and having the filter in another room?
And, if in the glassing room would it be better mounted ceiling or floor. Room is small, 9ft ceilings so its not a hassle to ceiling mount and its out of the way.
I guess I want to know if the fumes are prone to rise or fall.

Resin fumes sink, so set your pickup down low.
