whenever i have been glassing the top of my bords i usually do a double layer at the same time, but it often creates airbubbles and i’m am wondering if there is a secret technique that i don’t know or if it is just skill, it is more consistently happening where the bottam lap that was wrapped wround dried and i can’t get the resin clumps completley flat. any tips?
Work the flats faster, so you have more time to triple squeegee the double layers and the laps areas, then have time to go back for another pass with the squeegee.
Typical poly gel time maybe 17 minutes. You pour 2/3’s the resin in 10 seconds, squeegee it outward in one minute, now you have time to re-squeegee for complete saturation and again more time to flip the rails, pour, squee back down and up the other side, in about 4 minutes.
Now you got 5 more minutes to sit around and check for air bubbles.
