glassing video

I posted a thread the other day about shaping videos and got several good responses so I want to thank everyone who offered up a suggestion. I went out and bought the John Carper video on shaping and it seems to be enough information to get me going pretty well. As I said in my previous posting, I’m new to this area and I hate to beat a dead horse but here goes my next question anyway. I almost got the “glassing 101” video also but I thought I’d check with you guys before I spent that money. Is this video worth buying? Or, are there better videos out there? I’m really interested in resin tinting so I was hoping that the video I get will address both issues. I generally like the old way of doing things so the idea of resin tinting my board is really appealing to me. Can you guys help me with any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks. …THE VID DOESN’T COVER TINTING.I would suggest getting it glassed professionally, first, then maybe down the line you can think about glassing.I would definitely buy the glassing101 vid.It will open your eyes.Herb

At the moment I think its the only glassing video out there. Come on Herb. Do it yourself, screw it up now, screw it up later. whats the difference. you dont get better if you dont do it. Just a little advice, only do one new thing at a time. like say…glassing a board with channels and doing a full bottom opaque pigment both for the first time at the same time is probably not a good idea. yeah, get the vid and get to sanding.
