I’ve searched the archives to no avail. I know it’s there somewhere but the previous page expires everytime I pick the wrong entry…Sorry. 2 q’s What do I do to the pinline to prep it for glossing?-Lightly sand w\600? After glossing, what should the grit order be for polishing? Thanks,Trev
Howzit TS, After you sand the board with 100 or 120 grit paper sand the pin line area with 220 grit, this will help prevent any bleeding under the tape off. As for what grit paper to start with on the gloss I it depends on how good your gloss comes out. My gloss job come out really smooth so I usually start with 400,then 600 then shurlustre to a brillant shine. Finished 2 boards yesterday that I was able to just use 600 on the decks. There’s a lot of info on pin lines in the archives, so if you need more advise you can look there.Aloha, Kokua
