Gluing up 1/16" balsa

Well I finished me second balsa top board. Hot wiring ,shaping, and bagging went great. The only problem I ran into was when I was gluing up the 4" by 42" by 1/16"into a sheet. The super glue in some areas would stick to the table.Sheets are 22" by 10’ so alot of seams. Is there a film or something to to cover the table that glue won’t stick to? I’ve been taking a sharp knife and cutting it loose. Gordon

I’d repost this in the general discussion fourm.

Have you considered peel ply on the table surface??

Spray the table top with several coats of PVA. Cleanup is a breeze with over the counter Alcohol. Haven’t done this myself, just an idea.

Guys thanks for the ideas.I also found super glue that comes in more of a jell form.Hopefully that should stop gluing to the table. My next board is going to be 11’ 10" by 23" same balsa top.I’m having my shoulder worked on so this will help with rehab.I got the idea for the board from Paul Jensen. Paddle board surfboard. Gordon
