Good Aussie True Story.

I've seen the local girls crew here training. Boy, how lucky would you be to end up being the sweep!!

Its always been the Palm Beach girls crew and for what its worth Ray and Dougie are around the corner in another facility between Warner and Chaos now, still putting out some nice product.

Isaac!!! Wow.

What a blast from the past, I don’t think you’ll ever know how much of an impression you left on me from that short time I hung around your place. I’m the kid who’s family had the red/brown house right at Shark Country, where Auntie Girlie lived till she passed away. I bought that green 5’6" board with the foam colored bottom, then the purplish rounded pin. Then you made a couple of boards for my brother and friends. I bugged the hell out of you for a summer or 2.

My grand parents built the houses where the Cordes, Roxsburg (then Farm), and Ching families stayed on weekends. Uncle Kui Ching’s house was taken over by Alfred Ah Loo. I’m not sure when Ted Farm bought out Jackie Roxsburg, but Jackie and my Dad’s uncles were really close and they all got the leases to the beach lots together in '39 or '40.

I think there will soon be hundreds of houses covering the land where you used to build surfboards. All of the beach front has been fenced off for decades, from The Okamura house all the way down to the Del Monte park. We have to walk back in from Sand Tracks, or park by Sea Wall and paddle out from there.

There’s a thread about Ewa in the 60’s, I bet you could answer a lot of the questions, and a lot of stories you could share about building boards back in the 60’s and 70’s.

I also sent you a note to your email.

Take Care,

Harry
