good news x2

First of all…I had originally posted about tools cause I was laid off and had to get rid of all my stuff cause I didnt have a shop any more…but Ive worked out a way to stay there. That means I can start creating a new board soon and stop with the creating lame threads/posts. (that should get some cheers)

Secondly I was driving down the penninsula this morn and came across a yard sale. There was an old guy selling three hollow wood surf/paddleboards he made in wood shop in 1938-39. Ten bucks each. I took 'em all. I dont think they’re collectors or anything but they’re so sweet. (Ben Ill post pics asap.) Who’s Tom Blake anyways…just kidding.

stoked about your job , tools , and no more lame posts [maybe I need a job back , too!]

STOKED you’ll be starting a new board soon …what will it be this time ?* [do you ride the “stingray” at all , or is it a wall hanger / museum piece now?]

Stoked about your paddleboards [I think] … but, WHAT will you do with three …make them into a trimaran , perhaps ?]

Don’t worry, you don’t have to post pics of those , if you don’t want to Gary . [I’d rather hear / see you getting a good surf with gatordave ]

catchya !

ben

*…maybe you could make something like a 6’8 x 20" x 2 1/2" thruster , this time ? (What do you reckon ?)

Gary,

Just four days ago I saw several Paddleboards of the type you described, in a shop, priced in the one to two thousand dollar range. And they had a real amateur look about them. You may have really scored, especially if the craftsmanship is better than average. Good on ya.

The craftsmanship appears excellent. Somehow the guy kept them in stellar condition for the last 67 years. Except for a few character blems they are in perfect condition.
