Gordie wing pin tail

I have an old friend who whants a copy of his old Gordie. It is an interesting shape: N 17 1/2 wide point (12" up from center) 22 1/2, tail 1 1/2" deep wings 18" from the tail 12 1/2 tail round pin. The template is OK, but this board is 3 5/8 thick from center to wide point, very crowned deck with 50/50 rails from wings to nose. I am going to strech it from 9-0 to 9-6. the problem is that I can’t get the thickness out of the 10-1Y that I have to work with. I am thinking that I can achieve the same volumn by keeping the deck fuller out to the rails with less crown. Any thoughts on this would be apreciated. I know this board came from Huntington Beach, but there are no #s or signitures of any kind other than the old Gordie wave logo on the deck & a fat-rounded gordie lettering on the bottom. Who shaped it ??

Who shaped it ?? …Gordie shaped it, most likely…and if you’re using a supergreen or lighter blank ,you can go a little thinner ,being that that old gordie is in the old class light blank catagory, which would be equivalent to a blank in classic foams of today.Herb
