The vents I received (sample on right in photo) are rated for 25 feet for 15 minutes. I’m sure it apply with wave action. The Long lifespan of the membranes is protected well by housing and can exposed to salt water.
Here is a photo showing plastic vent plug with membranes inside showing.
I think either one would probably work OK. For someone wanting a maintenance free vent, the milvent vents seem a possible solution.
