Parabolic rails, flex tails, colored foam, quads, whats next? What do you people think a new fad or new fashion in the surfboard building/riding industry will be?
I’m really intrigued by stringerless along with Firewire and comp sands. I prefer quads over thrusters so far as well.

I think no one has experimented with a corkscrew-shaped fin yet…
(When I was a kid, an elder friend of mine -who had already understood how marketing worked as far as selling surfboards goes- kept saying something like: “If any big brand starts advertising corkscrew-shaped fins, everybody will ride them next month, no matter how they actually ride…”)
Aaaaahhh, but those were the golden '70s… New ideas and shapes every minute or so. Surfboards are something serious, now, aren’t they?
Thinking about it, since I live in a country where corkscrews are such an important part of our culture, I might give it a try…

Dolphins are so intelligent someone ought to work with them as a clean alternative to PWCs so they can keep towing in the Monterrey Sanctuary.
Besides they can probably pull you out from under the wave and not just when you pop to the surface.

The ‘‘new’’ design breakthrough will be the emergence of high performance SINGLE FIN surfboards, with a thick foiled fin, of course. (not kidding) These boards will also have additional small (tiny) blade fins near the tail rail (last 12 inches) too small to be considered fins. It will not be fashion based change, but performance based. You heard it here first.

Whats it worth to you $? .I am tired of giving away ideas and names to others only to have them claim it as “theirs” then make money at it while I get neither credit OR $.
i love the dolphins instead of jetski’s, love the blade tail rail, agree on the robots…and i have to say stringerless/flextails have been a lot of fun to try in small hawaii surf.
how about 50/50 boards…like a wakeboard with small fins on the nose and tail so you can do sk8board “shuv-its” and ride the board either way?! it could be fun to test.
or velcro pads/boots for airs in small surf.
or a clip that can lock your surfboard to the back of your truck by the leash plug so no one can steal your board.
see ace, no one wants to steal your ideas, just sharing for fun…
