Are you still shaping? Do you have a website? where can I get some info?

Hey SB,

Greg’s website

Not shaping much. Mostly just doing R&D boards right now. I’m presently working mostly on the new blank project and I’ve also been contracted to do some epoxy formulating for an archetecural composites company here in AZ. Still like to shape now and then though.

greg…

i was curious as to the status of the new blank project. assuming that it’s coming along well, what size range do you intend to make available??

greg i used RR for the first time last week and it worked awesome. i used bgf aerialite glass and the two worked so well together. i would recomended the combination of epoxy and glass to anyone

Greg,

Are boards under your label still being built in Melbourne, Florida? Who is shaping and glassing them now? If I get an epoxy I would prefer one of your EDRO eps foam boards w/. RR epoxy.

Any info you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sam Barker, who’s worked for me for over 15 years, is making a few at the melbourne factory. I also shape a few when ever I’m there.

The new blank project is still in the works and a small production run is set for next month. We’ll see where it goes from there but feedback has been very positive. It’s nearly time for others to get involved. I’ll be posting more on that here when we reach that stage.

Greg,

I remember when my wife and I first met Sam and he was telling us about using leftover blocks of eps for furniture. My wife was pregnant with our youngest then and he’s 14 now. Time flies doesn’t it?

If anyone is interested … Steve Forstall . CODA surfboards is in the next bay over from Greg’s Melbourne shop. He uses RR Epoxy and uses and sells EDRO blanks . He’s a great shaper and really likes Fish Boards . I’d say his name should be in the list when you talk about the best Fish( or otherwise ) shapers. He also uses some advanced type material in the glassing . Light and strong "Syntech " … PM me if you would like his phone #…Here are a couple of boards he built for me … To my Specs. and I really like them . They came out better than I expected them to. Steve listens and make what you ask and doesn’t try to “improve” on what you ask for … Mahalo Don J.
