Handplane Tubes!

Check out these siiick tubes from SD county.

frothyyyyy.

niiice shots!

COOL … that test pilot looks vaguely familiar…

maybe i’d recognize him better holding 2 beer bottles and running “for speed” with his ass hanging out of his pants??? =)

nice pics EP, did you guys use a GoPro? i gotta make one of those

SWEET!

Hahahha ChrisP, thats good!   He did get like 21 or something, but it must be rigged!

yeah Af put his GoPro on the nose.  He said it made it a little heavy but it still worked.

also said he needs “bigger waves”  … don’t we all!

come on south swells.

Best thread around here in a long time. Great shots, I needed the stoke; I still need more than about anything the need to tubed, and that is why I do it, and even on a hand-plane its still cool. Any of you remember the “Ziffy boards”, and how popular they were before someone named Morey changed the world. They were among the first black-ball beaters.

thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Are these still shots or frame grabs from video? I have my GoPro mounted on the nose of my HP as well but have only used it in video mode. Most of the vids are below par. I might have to try still shot mode...

i’m so STOKED! Mrs. ChrisP got me a GOPRO HD for an early father’s day gift…

this is me ----->  =)

They are still shots from the GOpro’s video.

Chrissss that’s super awesome that she got you a Gopro HD!!  I can’t wait to see some rad video!  I know they will be cheering for you from the viewpoint!   you guys are great!

Me too ...got a Go Pro Yesterday and I have 2 questions...First, what is the small rubber thing can t figure it out its a rubber vibration plug but how do you use this??? and Do you think I can use the adapter with the 3m tape on a board ??? Or I have to buy the surf adapter?   thanks

canadian surfer,

i just stuck my camera to my board today… i’ll try to post up a pic tomorrow.

when you see the rubber thing stuck where it’s supposed to go, it will all make sense.

… do you have the surfboard mount?

No Chrisp I d ont have it(can t find it around here) That s why I was asking about the others stick on adapter. Also I could use the one that is in the box that stay the cam when you buy it...I mean this ...see pic....I can sand it round shape and epoxy glue it

canadiansurfer - that's a great use for the mount in the box. I see it as a "bonus" mount that most people probably just throw away. You could also put an FCS plug in if you don't want to epoxy the wood and use the FCS mount that also came with the camera.

The rubber thing that you asked about is (I think) the lock for the mount. Once you have the camera in the mount, the rubber piece goes in to act as a lock so that the camera cannot come off of the mount.
