Hansen 50/50 mini

I just got a Hansen 50/50 Mini. It is 7’6" with a blue glue stringer. The logo is the big hippy looking logo that goes across the deck in the middle.

I can’t find anything about it on the net and none of the local shops are helping.

Any ideas on its worth, era etc?

What is the number and letter on the board. EXAMPLE: 12345 C, or ~12345~, or something else. What do you have?

Looks like ~18133~ or ~10133~. kinda blurry under the glass.

Your board was shaped by Richard Templin in early 1969, before he left Hansen to shape for SURF SYSTEMS from 1969 to 1971. Richard was an excellent shaper, that’s why I lured him to SURF SYSTEMS when I opened that shop in Cardiff, where the Kraken restaurant is now. Does the board have the Hansen, screw through the deck fin system, or the FU system?

It has the screw through the deck system. The original fin is a stub. It looks like it has been whittled and chipped away over the years. I taped off the finbox and set an old fin in there, then filled it with resin and glass, then drilled the hole in the fin to secure it with the screw. Looks funky but it is a lot less than the 150.00 they want for a reproduction. I went for a surf on it today and I must say it is NOTHING like any board I have ever ridden! It took a few tries to figure out how to turn it without digging a rail. After a while I got the hang of it. It really is a whole different ride…

Thanks for info!

By the way, the correct number for your board is 10133. The 18133 number is too high for the 1969 year.
