Hats off to the wild ones

I had to do some buisiness up in Ventura today, so I thru an extra board in the truck incase the opportunity presented itsef. I pullued up to C-street around 7 a.m Howling offshores, 8 to 10 ft faces with sea foam blowing another 20 ft into the air. The parking lot had spaces & it was evident there were no takers for that workout. I drove down to a place Just south of there (to a spot that shall remain nameless) near the Ventura harbor. There they were! A half dosen full on wave warriors sitting outside the jetty. Easy double overhead slammers pithcing & heaving outside at mabey 40 second intervals. These guys were charging hard & making maby one in six or eight waves. Awsome!! Better than any surf movie I’ve seen in some time. I’m a bit to old & slow for that kind of action, but it was some of the bolder wave riding I’ve seen in a while, so hat’s of to whoever you guys are!!

I was in S.B. today taking my wife to the Doc. We walked out to the end of the warf and watched the sand spit go off. A quality crew of surfers out doing the best tube riding I have ever seen! Some awesome new Brom fish at the Beach House too. My wife had to get me out of there befor I could find my Visa card.
