and with the fans pulling out theres no heat in my sanding room.
what do you guys do?
maybe infrared heaters? though they will heat the board as you sand too?
thanks

Google Fostoria Heaters or Combustion Research. As most shops can’t afford to go with forced air heat and ducting to avoid open flames and pilots the likly alternative is ceiling mounted infared. The US Northwest has about the same weather as Ireland and I have been researching as well. Pellet stoves and kerosene may work if done right.
if you go to big on infrared arent you going to be heating up the board whilst sanding?
will be looking at a couple of 2000w commercial infrareds tommorow
also can get a large ceramic industrial for a great price but i dont think it will work due to the flow of air.
You can always use a fan to direct heat. Overhead infared heats the whole room. It's not infared of the bulb type. I am talking about infared tubes that are hung on the ceiling. Google it. Infared bulbs are more like what your hamburger sits under while the waitress picks her teeth and scratches her fat ass.
Small electric Point Of Use water heater that plugs into regular service, PEX piping, gate valve, vent stack
I'll remember that should I decide I need hotwater for my "cup o' noodles" when taking a break from sanding.
picked up one of these today
works ok!! snowing outside -1oc and didnt feel it! and really cheap to run!
“Cup O’ Snark” is a bonus feature.
I use it because they’re cheap passive heat that when plumbed into vac/press/forming table rigs provide steady curing temps in the 90 - 140 degree F range that also radiates throughout the shop.
If I could figure out how to get it to make Irish Coffee - that would be worth it.
Brian------Having worked in costruction and remodel way too long; I am a big fan of point of use. Now I am twisting my brain to understand how you use it, hook up etc. Any pics?
Pauluk----Who's the manufacturer?

That is funny!!!!
Thanks, Made my day!
its a dimplex ceramic radiant heater using outside seating areas covers 13sm
Oy Ding, how is it so many board builders are involved in alcohol, err, I mean remodeling?
Chit! Went to pull images from another website regarding heated molds and “Link not found” - I’ll dig through the pics of past projects later but as for the current use the shop is being put back together after painting/conduit etc… Pics next week or so.
How I’m using it is running PEX through the table shown below:

It is an open unpressurized system with convection recirculation through the table and a bleed vent atop the POU water heater which allows air formation to out gas though it requires a periodic top-off. Anyway, the table comes up to a stable temperature which is good because the wife goes nuts when the electric bill climbs and she finds a heater running. The POU water heater is quiet and sits nestled under the back end.
I’ve used gas, heating element wires, Thermion sheets (almost burned one of the shops down with those), infrared and RF to cure molds/forms/work and heat spaces. The passive POUHW solution came to me when working with airpressure molding.
The same bladder you fill with air, why not hot water?
Works like a charm.
Until you get a leak.
Thus the uninterupted PEX through the table.
Anyway, being the ho I is, will definitely be pushing pics most especially now that the studio is coming to completion.
Best

Like Dru Harrison; My Dad was a truckdriver up and down Hwy. 99 in Cal. I've seen a lot of burgers sittin' under infared heat lamps in truck stops. I've also seen alot of waitresses scratchin' their fat ass and adjusting their girdles and bountiful bras while my burger and fries got a George Hamilton tan.
