goddddd this has been a hectic day in shipping, so i get a call from the boarder telling me my package has arrived at the border and i am in need of a broker, so i ask if they have one i can use they so no, i ask if they can recomend one they said A&A customs broker so i phone them talk to them they say without an invoice its going to be 70$ in broker fees so i email back the company i bought it from (fiberglass supply) they emailed me an invoice and at around 5:30 i phone back A&A i say yes im wanting a one time broker to get across the border now they say oh well our one time people leave at 4:30 but if you PHONE THE FRIEGHT COMPANY SO THEY CAN FAX US THE INFORMATION, first off what information but w/e befor the other girl said i just need an invoice oh well im going to phone the frieght company used which was harbour oak i believe it said on the invoice and ask where my package is and how to go about using a broker to get it accross the border, then probably phone back A&A and go for a fun half hour phone call just to get over a blank and a fin set, plus on the invoice i noticed they didnt put in the leash plug i ordered so im going to have to order one from them and get it mailed or attempt to find one here
cant wait till tommorow hope everything goes fine and i get it across the boarder tommorow
haha i wish, but no bad idea :P. i dont see why customs cant find a broker for you and maybe like figure it out for you instead of making it so comlicated just to get a package from the US i mean come on we shouldent even really need it were basically joined anyways
Howzit Noob, There must be a place that sells the products you need for building surfboards in Canada since you are not the only person building boards there. Aloha,Kokua
i looked and found one place that sells blanks about 100kms away from tofino but they only had 9’5" longboard blank, i searched again and some shapers near me chimed in but for some it was abit late or i did not know the brand of blanks they were so i did not want to buy them, oh well im sure i will find some one i can either order with to save on shpping or find a local company hopefully
Howzit Noob, When you say you did not know the brand of blanks, did you mean you were not familar with the brand name, if that is what you meant then just post the names here and one of us will know the brand and give you any info you need to know. Like I said before you are in the midst of people who know the answers when it comes to building surfboards. Aloha,Kokua
Howzit Noob, I would tell the border guys I took it to Washington to get it shaped and the shaper wasn't home so you were bring the blank back til the shaper called you, just a little white lie and how can they prove you it isn't true. Aloha,Kokua
