Heres my 5th board-pretty much a group effort (thanks to everyone on here). rides great-wiiide tail v and lots of lift. The nose is patterned after my first fish from 1975, shaped by "Gumby" at ET surfboards Redondo (I still have it)
Hello LC, welcome to the dark side. Don't sit back down so fast - got any more shots / stories / ride reports etc. to share, along with that first pic?
Ultimat, the design was stenciled on the hot coat, posco pens and acrylic spray, so far so good-I have ridden it about 10 times and it is still holding up. I have a great story about "ghost" the cat for another time. This is the first of my own personal boards and the first I hope of a tattoo series. My kid only wants clear short boards.
I'm back: A few more pictures, dimensions and a ride report are in order. The first picture is the brand new Cod, but the camera did something funny to the shape, the next one is better but after being ridden a few times.

Dimensions are 7'4" x 18 1/4" N x 22 3/4" x 17 5/8" T. Wide point is pushed up 3" ahead of center. Pancake flat to panel V out the back, quad set up, big round rails to pretty severe dropped from fins back. single 6 glass on the deck and single on the bottom (it is light).
Ride:
The good: wide tail, flat and WP forward makes the Cod get up and PLANE, I have ridden it in place of my LB at San Elijo and use it as my short board in HB. I grew up on twin fins, but have only ridden thrusters for a long time; the quad set up and V is a dream, turns so easy (I really enjoy the feeling of no center tail to track), fat rails make it want to climb going down the line (I like that).
The bad: I left the rails in the nose too thick (next time I will bevel), it wants to climb (some people don't like that). The Cod doesn't like chop or the flats too well, I was surprised. I think this is because it is so flat in the nose along with the thick nose rail. Next time some V in the nose
I am starting a 6'10" version with a slightly pulled in nose, V and double concave in the rear (spiral V?), little belly in the front and flat through the middle. Maybe a little more bat/swallow/dove in my bsd tail (I am not a big fan deep swallows), maybe even a diamond tail.
