Hello All, I just spray-painted my surfboard with some Acrylic spray paint from Michaels. After the paint has dried the finish of the board seems very rough and it almost seems like the paint ate away the foam a little bit while I still be able to get it glass or should I re-plane down to raw foam?
Looks good. I have glassed over acrylic paint with epoxy resin many times & never had a problem. I don’t work with polyester resin so I’ll let those guys comment but pretty sure it wouldn’t be a problem. If in doubt do a test on a small piece of scrap foam.
