Open a Photobucket account,
its free, I never get emails from them or anything.
you can also set your album to private

www.photobucket.com

Upload your photo's to there first.

Once you have some pics Uploaded,
look underneath one of your pics for:  DIRECT LINK
"copy" the full "path" / URL of the pic you want
(just clicking it seems to copy it for you)
(It should look like this: http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z310/kdavis4769/Funny%20Signs/Funny-Dog-Sign.jpg)

Go back to swaylocks

Then when typing in a comment on a forum, there is a little box that looks like a tree
if you hover your mouse over it , it will say "insert/edit image"
Click it
A new little window will appear
(if it doesnt, allow popups in explorer or firefox settings - for sways only of course)
In the section "image URL"  :  "paste" the URL that you copied from PhotoBucket
then you can play around with the size and position settings.

click INSERT

done

Alternative to bothering with photobucket is http://www.tinypic.com. Post the photos there, and copy the link they provide. Then just paste the link straight into your message here. The tinypic link will begin with [IMG].

2nd alternative is to upload right to swaylocks. When you’re logged in here, there’s a “My Account” link at the top right. Click that, go to the bottom right of the next page, and follow link to uploading pics.

Then copy the location of the pics you upload. All image file links must end in .jpg, .gif,etc. They are then bracketed by the forum code such as “[IMG]”

Yea (if this works...?)  Thanks Mitchfromoz.

Hear we go...First Finless (alaia)

did it work?

Les

yep,
I can see your picture
A tombstone looking longboard.

The above comments also work, to upload pics,
But Photobucket links/urls can be used in any online forum or webpage
then again, tinypics and sways may aswell.

I’m trying to figure out what “the right size” is…

Any help before I fill pages up with goofy pictures…

Here is one of my favorite sights…  Means I been gettin’ out…

This is 292 x 1012

Well - looks ok like this, but 1012 may be a little much if it was the width…

These are two of my early boards, my mat, and a long board I bought off one of my oldest friends…

The pic is @ 970x700

I’m uing Tinypic…

Looks like It’s just a little wide…

My “Archives”

This ones about 600x800

That looks like a good fit…  On to post about the p2

I just click on file attachments

they are automaticly resized to fit

Hey Ken - Are you talking about the “tree?”  'Cuz when I posted some that way via “tinypic” they came out pretty big.

TaylorO

below the comment window you will see"File attachments"

click on it and browes

I pull pics from my PC out of "my docs"

then click "attach"

try it that way

see its easy

cj

thanks I did it

MMM Nice.

Is that a new gun CJ ?

aaarrrggghhh Lavarat! that left bowl is calling my name. nice shot!

nice Gun CJ!

Ken - Thanks.  I tried that way when I first got my camera and it worked less than 20% of the time for me…  Who knows???  Maybe I’ll try it again, 'cuz as you point out, when it did work it was nice and easy…

Well I don’t make it a habit of going left on that wave.

Here is the pic of the same wave before it broke with some people in it for perspective.
