Help with a new minimal design...

I am happy with the shape and dimensions… but can you assist me with the rocker profile???

What do you all reckon?

…anybody?

3 1/2 inch nose, 3 inch tail.

Might just be me but the nose outline looks wonky. What are you shaping it from?

Minimal would be body surfin'.

Naked body surfing.

G’day mate …

FWIW, the ‘nineteen 97’ I made has the following rocker:

At nose: 4 3/8

1’ off nose: 1 11/16

2’ off nose: 9/16

At tail: 2 9/16

1’ off tail: 1 3/16

2’ off tail: 3/8

If you’re using AKU, plot those points and align your bottom curve to 'em … it will then show you the difference between your rocker and those numbers. But remember, my board, the ‘nineteen 97’ is 7’2" x 20 x 2 1/2 … it has vee all the way through it (concave inside the panel of the vee) … also remember, depending upon what you plan on doing with the bottom contours, it will change the rail rocker too …

PS: the ‘nineteen 97’ goes great … I’ve had a “few fun waves” on it already

Thanks wingnut!

Ok you asked for it..  You might be happy with the outline, but I think its a bit chunky.  Go to Blending Curves website and look at the 7"10' egg shape.   That is way more organic that your design.   #1 rule, don't try to force the shape into something it doesn't want to be.

Walden CD nose + TK Scorpion tail.   I get it.  I agree with the others, though.  You’ve got a flat spot in the curve @ ~6" from the nose.  Bring the curve of the nose tip in and it’ll clean up the front 18" of the template.  You’ll just end up with more of the trash can lid nose instead of the Walden shovel nose.
