Help with dims for a kids board

Hi

My son (6yr old but wears 7yr old clothes…tall lad, quite gangly :slight_smile: ) got into surfing last summer and on the success so far of producing my first board i’d like to make him one.

Can anyone offer advice on a good starter board and possible dims? I was thinking that a mini longboard/egg hybrid maybe a good shape?

I just did a scaled down Takayama Egg… 6’0"… flat to vee, single fin. The thing works great. I don’t have the numbers with me, but if you go to the website and print out a pic, you can measure it and scale it down to get some rough dims.
