help with not for surf surfboard project

Hi, I have a request for a surfboard, that will be used as a countertop. The buyer would like to be able to place pictures, bumper stickers, and a license plate on it, then have a clear finish placed on it to preserve the memorabilia, and give it a smooth hard clear finish. Any ideas on what to use, how to accomplish this. I would love to make a few extra bucks doing this. Sorry it is not a true design question, and that it does not pertain to surfing. Thanks, Darren

Aren’t you the dude from Bewitched? Jono

That would be Darren Stevens, with the s at the end. But wow, the boards I could build if I had a Genie. ++Darren

Darren it sounds like you need to learn about building resin tables,I could help you out a little but again its kind of off the subject.Lets see what the Bros say. R.B.

…Get an old board, that has a good top and add what you need to it from there,it’s a simple but complex project that I’m not sure that I can describe over the net to you sucessfully.Herb

I guess the first question would be what kind of board are you trying to use?Long or short? The rocker is the big factor in this situation.Basically its a sereies of resin “pours” but the resin has to be contained and gravity will make it pool in the lower area.Like Herb said this can be tricky. R.B
