HELP!!

Alright, here is the deal. I was going to get a 5’9 single fin channel islands board. But on sunday i broke my shortboard on probably the best swell ive seen this year. I need some help choosing a board. Can you fix a board that has snapped in half, and still have a strong board? If you can, i might still go with the single, but if not i think i need a new shortboard. I dont know if single fins can be ridden in all conditions. Rough to glassy, knee high to overhead. I just need some input. If anyone has a good Channel Islands board that would fit what i need, please help me out. It has to be channel islands, because i get a good deal on them. I weigh 138lbs, and i am 5’11. Any imput would be greatly apreciated. THANKS

Alright, here is the deal, shape your own board. I bet you only want a single fin cause they are trendy nown…

nah, i wanted one because nobody where i live has one, and i love the way people surf them. I just dont know how well it would work on all condidtions. Im starting to think more of a reg. shortboard. but i dunno.

Single fins go in all conditions, you just have to ride it the way you want, and have fun.

Holt, snapped boards can be fixed. but their strength is never the same (unless a LOT of glass is used, and then their weight is never the same). Also, the used value of a snapped board is generally $100 US or less. Singles ride in everything, and they used to be ridden in everything. But, they do not achieve the performance of a shortboard. If that is important to you, do not get a single as your main board. But, it is perfectly useful, and quite fun. I only ride singles now [wink] http://www.blakestah.com/fins/
