Two things…
1.) how that sick Kolstoff ripper? I have to say I love it. so give it back.
2.) some how during the festivities of S.A. someone heard that you hang-glide. I would like to talk to you about this, but would not like to occupy any more space on this glorious website with my petty ramblings. so until then
I am truely sorry I did not get a snap shot of your van as it headed north. You guys had it going on and reminded me of my stoke and Derel days. The Kolstoff board is pretty cool, although not the general shape and style of board that I ride, it has been fun. I would be really psyched on a longer floatier version possibly a fish or a ultra sicky longboard. I have not ridden a shortboard in a long time so I honestly don’t think I am a good judge. But the possibilities of the technology is really endless. I hope to get another sesh on it this weekend. Keith has got dibs on it next and so on…
Yes I hang glide and do enjoy it very much. Hang Gliding, Surfing, and Rock Climbing have been a lot of fun and a great way to be outside. Any time you want to talk drop me a line. I was lucky enough to be introduced and taught to hang Glide and would always love to show another the way albeit not giving instruction personally but happy to introduce you to people who will. Unlike shaping if you screw up hang gliding you can easily get the chop. But then again you gotta die somehow.
Ken,
If you are reading this the Sway Kolstoff board is in good hands and will pass it around here in San Diego for a bit, what would you like us to do with it I believe 4est indicated we should silent auction for it or something. I would like to speak with you when you get a chance please PM me and I will pass on my phone number. I would very much like to respect your wishes and intentions for it.
I wear sandals, had a beard and long hair when I was 21-26 and currently live on a hillside hmmmm sounds like I am Jesus. Chip anytime you have questions for me I am more than happy to repond as long as you don’t listen and do things the way you want to anyway.
Glad you have had a chance to ride the Kolstof board. Greg Loehr has shaped a fun board and long board that I am working on for the necessary tooling to make some new boards. The technology is a bit different, and yet I think there are a number of things I can still do to the board to improve the flex patterns. Like many things, it is an evolution…
The intent is to work with Mike Paler to do some kind of auction of the board, with the proceeds going to Swaylocks. You might want to talk to Mike and see if he has any plans. Till then, enjoy the board.
Krista says hi and thanks for letting her wear your cap to keep her head warm. I say thanks, too. If you and your beautiful lady are up this way give me a hollar and we can do a surf. I have a matt, too. Mike
