Is the yellow foam at home depot polyurethane? I’m doing a re-shape project from an old failed board, and I need to splice a 6 foot by 3 inch length of foam down the middle of my blank in order to get the necessary width to make a knee board… all suggestions welcome!
I have no idea about what type of foam it is but maybe try getting something from a blank manufacturer. I have no idea if ice9 would sell just a colored foam stringer blank but it couldn’t hurt right? That or buy a fish blank an cut it down. hope it help chris
If it’s the stuff with the mylar backing, then I think you’re better off with the eps (white) insulation they sell right next to it. The mylar doesn’t come off real well and I think the yellow stuff is a tad more toxic than the white stuff…If I remember correctly, it does sand pretty nicely though. Good luck!
