Horizontal board rack spacing

Howdy,

Can horizontal board racks spaced too far apart affect board rocker over time on heavy logs around 9’6"?

Anyone got an idea on ideal spacing to maintain rocker if this is a concern?

I haven't heard of that becoming an issue, but I would think supports about 6' apart for a 9' 6" would minimize any damage the weight of the board could cause over time.  Basically supporting the board at the front 1/4 mark and the back 1/4 mark for pretty even weight distribution.

I space the supports at 5 ft to allow for both short and long boards.  As long as they don’t get too hot,  the structural aspects are more of a concern.
