Hotcoat Resinswirl!

Is it possible to do you resin swirl for a hotcoat? Do you use a squeegee or a regular paint brush?

it’s possible…but why??..even color would be tough, and sand-throughs would be likely.

Would you use your squeegee or a brush?

i wouldn’t do it at all…but if for some unknown reason i ever did, i’d use a squeegie for a swirl.

also, i think it was on one of the harbour videos it showed a hotcoater that did his clear hotcoats with a squeegie as opposed to a brush…and they seemed to turn out great.

I wouldn’t expect the colors to come out that strong either since it would be such a thin layer. You’d have to put in a lot of pigment. It could make a pretty cool washed out look.
