How conductive is epoxy ??

Hi all,

Does epoxy conduct warmth and electricity well or badly?

thanks for any input

Epoxy is used sometimes for potting electronic devices, so I would say it is a pretty good insulator. Why?

I passed my hand over a hot coat this morning

AND I WAS SHOCKED.

it was sooooo smoothe

It tempted me not to gloss it.

The conductivity of the stuff

seems to be a perfect ground

for waves.
