I would like to gain more experience in shaping and glassing, but I’m on a budget. If I build an 11’ all around versatile sup for around $460 would i be able to sell it for $460 so I can build another sup? Would i need to include a paddle and/or leash? It would come with fins, either one long sup fin or a thruster setup.I would prefer to sell it locally around the tampa bay area, if that makes a difference.
You’d have better luck asking your question at this site.
Hey Meat,
It depends on how well you make it. If it looks good then yes, if it looks like a POS then no. There are a lot of SUP out there on Craigslist.
lets take another comparative example,
If I were to make a $4.00 hamburger
could I recoup the cost
to make another hamburger?
A very hard q to A.
…ambrose…
build it and you will know after…
Columbus took a chance
with Q. Isabella’s money.
why not ask your friends if they would like $450,00 SUP Otherwise make Hamburgers if they don't sell at least you have dinner.
Paddles cost as much as $400. Leash you must know.
As said, depends what it looks like. If you shape well, have nice colors, you should recoup at least that and maybe a hundred to 2. Add a 10" fin box on the deck for mast track, and it's worth goes up about $50.
