Ok My middle 10.5 in. fin box is install ...what is the best way to cut that .25 in of black plastic sticking out of the board. I dont have a grinder .... Thanks I ll be back soon!
You re right Pauluk,I dont have a router but I could use my dremmel thanks!I went on your site ,,, nice boards!
get a grinder.
simple.
if you insist use a block
and 36 grit
aluminum oxide paper
about four sheets oughta do it.
then ease out the scratches with 60 grit.
that might take you the best part of an hour.
a grinder with 24 grit will take 4 minutes.
change to 50 grit to tune and ioo grit to finish.
I speak specificly of a millwakee 4’’ mini grinder
turns 11000 rpms.get the 29.00 cheap-as if you wish
but the other 75.00 will be well spent,as you can sharpen axes
and grind rust and sculpt driftwood and prep wood work.
When you buy a grinder you will be closer to god.
…ambrose…
you deserve a grinder to go with your logo.
actually in the book handed down from the mount
a grinder traditionally comes before the Logo Lam.
Ok Thanks. , For the logo!!! It s only my 3rd board but I changed my logo three times ....I ll buy a grinder today!!!Thank to you Ambrose
you can use a router to trim it down aswell
all you need is a block of wood either side taped down.
Thanks
Some people use one of those multimaster tools for trimming too
I use a small angle grinder with a 36 grit pad on it works nice!
I recently used my dremel tool and local shop shared a DIY bit to amke for dremel w/ me consisting of a milk jug lid attached to a dremel bit and spray adhesive w/ 36 grit paper. You burn/melt metal bit to milk lid. It worked for me but the dremel flappaper bits work also and they are ready to go.
your wisdom to accept
suggestion
deserves credit.
get a backing pad
to go with the grinder
they come in rubber or plastic
the resin discs come in 4’’ and 5’'.
… ambrose…
