can a hull be reduced to a 4’2" bellyboard? i’ve seen so many different rails, bottom, tails, outlines etc in the creation of hulls and would like to build or more truthfully, have a 5’-6’ kneeboard version (not a spoon) as well as a bellyboard version built in say the 4’2 range. any suggestions? i know a Q(?) like this opens up a lot of potential ribbing but suffice it to say, if i could, i would!
bj of fineline shaped me a 4’11 belly version in answer to my question. all i can say is that its the sickest board i’ve ever ridden, next to my twin fin version from Jeff McCallum. both boards work insane and i’m going places i aint never been before. so much so jeff is working on a 5’6 single fin hull kneeboard for me. both these guys are incredible shapers, they listen and can interpret my mumbo jumbo. they have taken my surfing to the next level, a level i never knew i wanted but, i gotta say magical comes to mind.
