I appreciate tips for repainting board

I started surfing a little over 2 years ago and painted my board for fun. Recently I was given a second board with broken fins that I’m going to have fixed, then I’d like to paint that one as well. When I painted the first one I went into it knowing it’s gonna get dinged up and I’m fine with that, but heading into board #2 I’d like to improve the process. For instance, someone told me I should avoid using too much pure white on the next one because of both the sun reflection and because of discoloration over time. So if anyone can point me in the direction of any resources or advice on how to properly repaint a board so that the image will last, I would greatly appreciate it.

Here’s a photo of the one my friend gave to me as well as the one I already painted.

Why not fix the second board yourself? Save some money and get some experience. Swaylocks IS a “resource” . Go to the Archives and do a search for things like “ painting a surfboard” etc.
